This might be one of the most photographed pieces of sandstone anywhere in the world, but hardly anyone visits in the winter. This is my favorite time of year not only due to the lack of crowds, but also the sun rises far enough to the south that it isn't blocked by the La Sal Mountains which allows it to highlight Washer Woman Arch in the distance.
