Capturing a photo of the rainbow in the mist of Vernal Falls on the Merced River in Yosemite National Park is tricky. In the spring there is too much water going over the falls. In the Summer, the light isn't coming from the right direction, and in the fall there isn't always enough water. It takes a lot of luck and persistence in order to get a photo like this. Captured on 35mm Fuji Velvia slide film.
